The owners of J&F Department Store are Chinese, and have invested greatly in Naval Town with two stores and employing vast numbers of local people, and the positive knock on effects of the business has surely helped the whole Province in all kinds of ways.
J&F Department Store has increased competition in Naval and around the whole of Biliran Province, giving better value and customer service, and meaning older stores who had in the past taken the customers loyalty for granted have now be forced to improve or risk going out of business.

The building has trees growing from the structure, tiles falling off, and broken boarded up windows from Typhoons many many years ago.
